what type of 2 stroke trans oil does everybody run?? I run klotz premix, and they have a 30 wt synthethic, which is confusing because I keep reading where they will cause clutches to slip. :wtf: other oils I've seen are around 75 to 80 weight, and don't seem to be synthetic, but why are they so much heavier?

in my tecate, an all my race 2 strokes i run honda racing tranny oil, it comes in a one quart bottle thats red and has a black nipple at the top to pore it in with, its the only oil i run cuz it was the only one that would allow me to keep clutches in my machines for longer than a month

I know this is not the best and somebody's going to say it, but I use plain old Valvoline 10w-30 in the winter and 10w-40 in the summer. My machine still has the original clutch in it and it operates the same as it did 13 years ago when I bought it. And yes, it has been riden hard.

well I've been using car oil in mine too. But I don't mind spending a bit more if it is better on the trans. Usually castrol 20 wt 50. I have run it in my kdx200 since 96 with no ill effects.

I LIKE TO SEE A GOOD VARIETY WITH NO ILL EFFECTS!!!! I RUN 15-40 IN EVERYTHING AND HAVE FOR TWENTY YEARS ,, 2STROKE AND 4 STROKE NEVER HAD AN OIL RELATED PROBLEM ,, I THINK THAT MOST PROBLEMS STEM FROM TO MUCH OR NOT ENOUGH OIL MORE THAN TYPE,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
