Well I finally figured out why the Tri Z runs like crap, the base gasket is leaking just a tad, I don't know why I've never noticed it until now. What would cause this? warped head, what else should I be looking for when I tear it down. this will be my first time doing a topend on a liquid cooled mota. So any advice would be helpful.

it could have been put on wrong or not replaced the last time the cylinder was off...but all you got to do is take your pipe carb and headstay off, then drain your cooland, undo your 4 base nuts and it should be somewhat easy to pull up...im not sure with the triz' if you need to take the head off to get it out of the frame..but its a bit of a adventure with most but it saves a new headgasket

All screwdrivers over 12" should say "WARRANTY VOID IF USED AS A SCREWDRIVER"

Well its all back together and running exellent. weird thing about it was the topend still had the honing marks in the cylinder and everything checked out great. but the basegasket looked to me like it was reused. one side was blown completly out. Its a wonder that I even had it running before. Oh well, alls good now!:headbang:
