So, I took my baby girl for an afternoon ride yesterday and ended up playing in some water. Water only came up about 3/4 way up the tire, so we were were fine. On our exit of the water, we hit one hell of a hole out of nowhere. 3-wheeler immediately sank. I jumped off trying to keep it from staying under, but it went dead on me. I never let the exhaust go under while the engine was was off. But, I had to leave it in some depp water with the ass end in the air for about 2 minutes while I took by daughter to dry land.

Anyway, when I got back, it wouldn't start back up so I had to pull it manually out of the water.

Called the wife, she brought the truck and we loaded it up and brought it home. i figured the plug was wet or water was in the breather, but both assumptions turned out not to be correct.

So. I checked my oil..sure as hell, its creamy as can be.

So, I drained the oil and pulled the filter, but here is my question. How do I remove ALL the water from the system? Run some oil thru it and drain again? I have no clue, I just know I don't want to do anymore damamage than I already may have done.

Any help soon as possible would be much appreciated. Getting dark soon.

I've only dealt with this once, but I would say get some super cheap oil and put it in. Tip it over to make sure its all out of the cylinder and crap. Kick it over lightly a few times with the killswitch off and the drain plug out. Just keep putting oil in till it comes out the way it was put in. Clean up the airfilter, and make sure its all dry, and call it a day. Maybe do a few runs up and down the driveway with some new oil in, and then check it. When it happened on my cr, we just tipped it over, I rode the rest of the day, and then changed the oil. It was creamy but I changed it again a few rides later and it was fine.

The solution to this problem is Automatic Transmission fluid. It absorbs water. Put about 1/3 motor oil, and 2/3 ATF in the crankcase. put on a new filter (gonna lose this one). Start the motor up, and let it run until it is nice and warm, just idling, or a little higher (I might crank up the idle adjustment for this). Once the motor is warm, drain the oil/ATF mixture and it will take all the water with it. Change the filter again, put in fresh oil and you will be good as new.

Took one of my sxs swimming a year or so ago, and cleaned it up this way. Works good.

lol thats the only tiem my oil gets chainged is when it gets sunk. sinc ethen i put in a pvc t in the venthose and put 1way vents in it.the one going down lets the pressure out and the one that comes up under the tank lets air in.
