I need help! My honda 110 leaks gas out of the carb. and i dont know how to stop it. We took it in to a shop and he put all new parts in it but it still leaks. If someone would take a picture of their carb. on their 3-wheeler it would help. It may be missing a hose or somthing. Or if your have any suggestions it would help me out alot.

Hi Brad welcome to the board!

I am gonna ask some questions real quick. The year of your 110? And where exactly is it leaking at? Also this a general tech question so I will be putting it in that forum. But I will leave a redirect so easy to find k.

it is a '82. There is a gold thing sticking out in the front of the carb. toward the frong wheel , and it is leaking out pretty fast.

a gold thing? sounds like a copper "nipple" for a hose
your dealer rebuilt the carb? is this when the bike is on or off?

Just to make sure we are on same page. At the bottom of the bowl? That is the over flow, doesnt matter if you hose it or not, thats is where extra gas is suppossed to come out. Not in excess tho. On this same bowl there is a screw, this should be closed snugged. We will cover that just in case. If you open this then gas flows, If the float doesnt sit well gas flows. Inside your bowl is the float, Go ahead and pull it and drop it into a glass of gas, water, whatever, see if it floats, if not that is your problem. If it does then we move to the seat. The seat is the part that cuts off the filling of the bowl. Check and see if that tiny black rubber needle, that you almost lost while pulling your float is in good shape. If not replace. If it is in good shape, then that area that the seat goes into is worn. Dads gave me a tip on taking valve compound and regrind the area. I will Tell you my carb did this, mine is a 79, I ended up putting in a new carb. I have not tried the compound on the carb. They say you can adjust these plastic floats I never ever had any luck doing it.

yeah what she said thats why i asked if it was when the bike wa son or off because if the needles are messed up or that screw is loose and you dont have the pet**** closed it will leak out

You just need to replace the rubber gasket inbetween the bowl and actual carb. Make sure the 3 screws that close the bowl onto the carb are nice and snug. A new seal can be a pill, but little patience will get it.

o... and should all the screws be tightend and would a be able to use a float from a big red carb? or maybe even use the big red carb.

Dunno on float never tried, If you have that float it doesnt hurt to throw it in and see. If not ill dig in my desk and see if I have one, if your isnt floating.

NO not all of the screws are snug. Just the ones that pertian to the bowl. There are 2 towards the top, those are your adjustment screws. They come out of the side on the upper half of the carb.

Take a needle or pin to the area the seat goes into, and clean it up with compressed air and that. Shine a flashlight inside it make sure nothing is there. Check that rubber thingy I told you about as well. I have seen this area worn so if doing all that does not stop it from leaking, try the valve compound. Did you get the middle part to stop?

Squeaking noise? This is a new problem to me.. Congrats on half the battle no leaky. Always shut off your gas when done riding. So are all leaks fixed then?
