it already has a DG tip and a K&N
does a bigger carb sound good???

38mm carb (Keihin 38mm Airstryker works well)
Aftermarket reed cage like a RAD valve or VForce cage
Porting with a fresh top end.

If you are concerned about just doing bolt ons then get the carb and reeds, but the best bang for the buck will be found in good porting and a fesh top end.

ports come in a vairity of jobs yes there is a drag port which makes ur bottom end band very sort ALMOSt gutless but a mild port job or a stage 3 woods trails improves all. i would go fmf fatty for trails and woods but dunes and others ur best bet is a PT high rev or a ESR ATC5 pipe the esr is the best bang for the buck 209 bucks chromed where pts can easly hit 300 chromed or 240 non chromed.
hope u get alot done and dialed in
o a port job goes from anywhere of 150-300 bucks depends on ur port job

A good all around port will focus on mid-range power. This with an ESR ATC-5 and a Keihin 38 A/S *should* put out about 50hp, more than enough to keep anyone happy.

Porting should run $150-$200, pipe is $229, and the carb can be found used for about $150. It would be a good time to, freshen up the topend so factor in a piston and gasket kit @ about $125.

i ride dunes alot and some trails this is my trial and errors, for wat u say u want i would fo for a mx port job (universal name) u say that to the porting shop and they will know wat u want its a low to mid port job, then i would get a v-force reed valve and fmf pipe and silencer dont go to a 36 or larger carb. that will move ur power band up more

if u want to spend alot of time down sizing jets to make it run right and get ur bottom to mid back then yes u could but its really not worth it. i would stick with ur 34mm carb which is a great carb and play with its jetting the bigger the size its going to move ur power band up and if u rejett to make up the difference ur only going to flow A LITTLE more then ur 34mm with right jets. i say stick with 34mm the money u waste on a new carb with cable and throttle 300 OR MORE! is another 300 OR MORE! u could have spent on other stuff like a good reed valve, or a cool head or other stuff like that. this is wat i would do if u really want a bigger carb, go to ur performance shop with ur carb tell them i want a mx style machine they will go AHHH!!! we know wat to do and say i want more venturey but dont want to go to a bigger carb they should have a package deal like they bore out ur venturey prolly to a 35-36 prolly 35 for low-end and then they should jet it for ur applications, which in the end will be ALOT better then buying a new carb and spendin more bucks to get it to work right. prolly cost u close to 150 to bore and jet and ussaully they will include a dyno run section

hope that made sense
