How do you remove the drive shaft from the tranny so you can remove the engine. It is a 1985 and is the last thing that needs to be taken off before I can remove the engine. I am not sure to take off the back or the front.
Thanks,
Coastie

Ok, im good with this one. the way that comes off is it is spring loaded, youll have to slide it towards the rear end. it may give you enough room to slip it off. iff not you have to take out the rear end. this requires a special tool for the jam nut on the piviot pin. i made my own socked because i was to cheap to bring it for the half hour drive to the honda shop and pay for them to do it. then the hole rear end slips out shaft and all. basicly from what my fater and i have discovered from fixing myn is you have to take it apart from the rear end foward. good luck. oh and if you end up taking the swingarm off, the bearings need to be torqued to 10 inch pounds! no more no less. its a real pain. good luck.

I got it figured out. All I had to do was turn the engine toward the passenger side and it came right out. Wow I wish I knew it was going to be that easy. It dang near took all afternoon.
