The '85 250SX has valve adjusters that have a little square top on them. They are hard to hold with needle nose pliers and there isnt much room for vise-grips. Heres a tool I made to help hold the valve adjuster still while tightening the locknut. Honda has a tool you can buy but my dealer didnt stock it, so I dug out an old screwdriver that I'd been using as a chisel, cut a notch in it with my dremel and there you go. The feeler below it is a store bought item. Alot easier to use that the standard straight feeler.

Here is a pic of the stock honda tool. I got mine from servicehonda, just had to remember when I was getting some other parts

How much was that feeler from servicehonda.com?

On my 86 Big Red I changed the adjusters out with a set from a XR200 that has the slotted head. I was too cheap to buy the tool and too lazy to make one!:D

I think I got the feeler at the moto shop. Most honda's are the same, so they had a whole bunch for a few bucks each.

Nice. Looks easier to use than my regular feeler.
