200X (185,185S,200 NOT 200S OR 200M coil update

For all 200X owners (185,185s and 200 models NOT 200S OR 200M)

Honda part number 30510-167-003 is a direct replacement as an 83-85 200X ignition coil it is from a
1983 Honda NH80MD AERO 80 scooter and is currently still available through Honda for about $40 from Service Honda.

The Hondas
XL500R, ATC 185,185S and 200 and several others also used the (same coil with different part numbers) which doesn't make sense but all have been discontinued by Honda.

I should note that this is for the OEM frame mounted TEC coil with the numbers BS41-CDI or AS41-CDI on them.

This is definately good info for riders looking to get new electric parts while they are still available (I hate buying used coils,CDIs etc. Luckily many hours on EBAY have gotten me great deals on new parts)

A basic search other than using my FAVORITE SEARCHES got me a NEW 200X coil that wasn't listed in atv parts. Bad for the seller, good for me. $17 shipped to me:headbang:
