No it did not run as it needs a head and valve cover due to messed up cam journals. I wanted to paint it anyhow so I figured I would just do it right the first time. Also the engine work is easier done on a bench, at least to me.

Well it looks like you have a lot there to work with. How much did you have to give for it????

I paid $360 for it. Yes there is a lot to work with. Most of the parts are there. The taillights are missing and thats really about it. The engine turns over very good.

looks like a fun project. It has a wooley booger on one side, and a vampire on the other??? that would be a mud machine and a half with some new vampires on the back

Well it is just about apart, except for the rear wheels and drive axle. I need to go to my dad's house to use the torches and heat it up because it is so corroded. I also think I am going to get it powdercoated, for the price they do all the work and I get and awsome frame. Yes I also agree that Big Red are the greatest thing ever. I have always wanted one since I was little so now I finally got one and I could not be happier. I had a 200S when I was little and loved it, I regret selling it ever since.

keep us updated with pics of the frame after it's powder coated, etc...I like to see progress pics! See if you can lift it and put some big vampires on it :headbang:

I have taken progress pics for almost every step of the way so far. I like to see where I started and where I end up. Yes I will keep you all updated as this project progresses. I will probably get it powdercoated next month, after I get some $$$$$...lol

I got a quote for all the frame work I want to get done and it is very reasonable.

1. Sand Blast Frame and Rear Swingarm with primer coat: $100
2. Powder Coat Frame: Approx $50

I thought that was a very reasonable price. I also think it will turn out a lot better than if I try to paint it myself. What do you think?
