For some reason I keep blowing my headlights on my DR. Rear light is just fine. I did find a short within the headlight and took care of that. But they keep burning out within 5 - 10 minutes of run time. Any ideas?

either the voltage regulator has gone bad, or maybe unhooked/ unpluged

hey, check grounds on the voltage regulator, battery, main wire harness.

The voltage regulator was something that I had thought of but why wouldn't it blow the tailight also? I'll have to check it with a digital multimeter.

hey, good question, where is the headlight ground mounted? make sure it's to the frame, not the tripple or front end someplace. they don't ground well through bearings.
