pic help

i finally got my pics scanned but i can't post them b/c they have the file extension ".bmp" ....... and the atachment file only accepts "gif"/ "jpg"/ "jpeg":mad:
is there a way to change the file extension; and if there is could someone please tell me how

I just rewrite the bmp to jpeg So if it is called 350.bmp change it to 350.jpeg. also do you have some type of photo program besides your scanner.

Do you have any photo editor like photo shop. Just open the pictur in the editor and save it again as a .jpg. And you might have to resize them until they are a small file size. I know it sounds bad. But its not that hard. And there should be some free photo editors on the web if you dont have one. Just go to like www.hotfiles.com and search for one. Good luck and if you cant get it you could send them to me and i will post them for you.
