what would cause a carberator to leak gas on my 225 the carb is leaking onto the engine....what parts would i need to buy to fix this...

If it is comeing out the over flow.( bottom of carb. ) You may just need to clean the carb. Or rebuild it. ( put in carb kit )

Ps. you should have a line on the float bowel so the gas does not run onto a hot eng. Should hang down in back of engine.

yeah mine is missing the line,it's been in the shed for a few days and i noticed it's been leaking so i shut the fuel off...i don't think the carbs been touched in a long time....so it's time to clean up..

uhh shouldnt u always shut the fuel off when u are done with it any way?

yeah i should have had the fuel off but i returned from a long ride and was tired basically just parked it and locked it up..

what does a carb kit consist of??

jets, needle, gaskets, piolt screw, float needle. all the things that wear out.
