On my 110 I can also take it from the sprocket side. I look on bikebandit at you setup and it also looks the same. I have had the brake setup seized as well on a 70 once, I took as well from sprocket side then once axle was off was able to beat (yeah I know bad choice of word) the drum system a little easier. Check and see if you have better chance at taking it from the sprocket side.
EDIT:
After looking at scheme a little closer, number 10 on the axle On bikebandit, makes it look like you need to definatly take it from that side. Look at both that and the drum system to see if you did not forget bolts. Considering how hard it is for you to get that subtranny, I would be real careful with this axle.

I was wondering theres 4 bolts on the inside of the axle carrier 2 that go into where the brakes are and 2 that go into where the chain and sprocket are do i need them out to get the axle out?
