Here is my 1985 Yamaha Tri-Z. I’ve had this bike just under a year and it’s gone thru at least 2 major build ups to get it to where it is now. When I first got it, it was in pretty rough shape. I’ve really enjoyed owning this trike and it fits me better than any other trike I’ve ever had.

I’ve added tons of items to suite my riding style over the year. Most of my attention was to performance first. The engine in my Z now has a Uni-filter attached to a Keihin 39mm carb. It feeds fuel thru the Boyesson power reeds and Moose intake spacer. I’ve also added a YZ 250 power valve cylinder with a Pro-X piston kit to the stock bottom end. Expelling the exhaust is a DG expansion chamber and silencer.

Power is transferred to the ground thru a Barnett clutch kit on it’s way to the 20” Carlisle Badlands rear tires. To go along with the rears I added a Badlands XTR radial tire up front on a polished wheel. Suspension mods are limited at present with only a Banshee rear lowering kit, 250X rear shock, and some cool Verde Powersports shock covers.

A couple other items I decided to add include the Renthal bars, Nacs racing seat cover, custom Nac’s graphics, PRM grab bar, and Maier plastic. To change the look a little I used a 250R front fender and fabricated some aluminum radiator shrouds.

Next on the list of items to add are Progressive front springs in the forks, Custom Works shock for the rear, and an X-33 axle assembly from Dura-Blue.
