hey, I noticed while putting an 11 tooth sprocket on my 200x, that it has some play in it even with the retainer bolted tight. The sprocket felt tight on back on the splines closer to the engine, but to put the retainer on, I had to pull it forward somewhat and twist the retainer to fit. The splines on the sprocket are in good shape. Was just wondering if this was normal.

Thats normal. They can move around alittle bit. Just like the rear sprocket can so they can move with the chain as the bike twists during riding.

I see well that makes me feel better. Hey fuzzy you said you had a 11 tooth sprocket, how much of a diff does it make? I have been waiting on chain adjusters for mine and haven't gotten to try it out yet.

It made quite a difference on bottom end. And i figured i lost maybe 4-5mph on the high end. But it made it pull a lot harder on take offs. And hill climbing. And seemed to make pulling wheelies easier.

check the splines on your out put shaft ( counter shaft ) the 185,200s and the 200x are bad about wearing them out. this way you can keep an eye on how yours is doing. they can get real bad before they brake or strip

thanks, but I went ahead and bought them from the honda dealer. I was impatient I guess, but the whole bike was sitting torn down in the driveway LOL. :D
