hi im dan and im new to this site im 17 and still in high school ive build many gocarts but ive always wanted to build a trike of my own!

im really excited to build my self a trike out of an old dirtbike i have an idea on what ill do but im not sure how it will work out so i need some opinions. im leaning toward an older 250 dirtbike liquid cooled with disc brakes front and rear.

the rear end

i have a hole rear end from an 86 quadracer that i would use for the rear end im think of mounting the bearing carrier somehow onto the end of the stock swing arm on the dirtbike id make sure i had lined the sprockets up before i tacked it on. then id run the brake line to the rear calliper of the quadracer. im thinkin after that id have to add some stregth to the swing arm by welding in some cross members.

the front end

i would get some triple clamps from a atc 250r and get my uncle to moddify them so they would work on the stock goose neck then id have to get a whole front wheel from a atc 250r and utilize it and customize the brackets for the brake caliper.

i know it will be alot of work but im confident that i can do it . i have the shop to do it and my uncle has a macine shop and im fairly good at tig welding so that shouldnt be an issue.

any comments or help would be greatly appreciated
