Are the old fenders all busted up or just faded?. If they are faded you can wetsand then with very fine sandpaper and water to make them shinny again. If they are all busted up then new ones would be the way to go. And $112.00 sounds about right. For a set of new rear fenders.

DONT BUY used fenders for that price dude. there only 120.00 for new ones and the price just went up. they where around 105. i just bought a set of rears today 118.00 shinny red for a 84 250r. if there painted 30.00 ir there good no cracks no paint 50/60. by the time you buy those and poishing stuff ect. if you can get them cleane up. you well spend more that a new set of front and rears. 190.00. i can,t believe some ones trying to sell you painted fenders for 112.00. hope its not a bud.

If they are in good shape. You could try sanding them to get the paint off and then look at whats underneath. But its going to take a lot of work and sanding to get all the paint off and make them all shinny and new looking. I would say if you could afford the new ones i would go that route. It all depends on how much time you have to mess with them. And how much $$$$ you have to play around with.

think about this ; he has 113.00 to buy the used set. plus sand paper @ 2.00 a sheet + polish + pads+ ???+ ?????. maier listed the at 130 ( + - ) most shops will go 118. shiny new. 113 - 118 = 5.00 to buy stuff + 100 hrs of elbow grease. buy new. you can get red, black, white. a front 86 250r adout 68.00. you cant buy much elbow grease and sandpaper for 5.00

oh ya that good for new. the old paint will come off with auto piant reducer or even with gas and a rag. its messy but much faster. then you can start sanding. i,ve found it very hard to get fender sto shine again. you can do it. they do seen to dull again very fast?????????
