Shock question

Does anyone know what other models of shocks will work in a 250r or a 200x. Example: a blaster rear shock will work in a 250r, So I have been told.

Im in need of a rear shock for a 200x and a 250r. I have about 4 that are shot and got to thinking that my be another model might work.

The 400ex shock is almost 1" shorter then the 250r, the blaster is almost 1-1/2" shorter. For as many 250r shocks that are out there, why would you want to swap anything into one?

Thanks for the info on the shock length. The reason for the swap is just to give me more options when shopping on ebay. Its hard to find a good 19 year old shock and most sellers dont know if the shock is good or bad.

Any subs for an 86/87 200x, mines blown and works want 300 to rebuild and revalve it.
