What all is needed to pull this conversion off? Do I have to get all the electrical stuff along with the motor? The cr125 is a manual right? I currently have a 200x with a 185s motor in in and I'm looking to hop it up some.:headbang:

If a list of the things I will need to do this can be made that will help alot. My father is a welder/farmer so I'm not worried about modifications to much.

Good luck with this mod. I would love to see picture when you are done.

My guess is that you will need everything from the cr125. Pipe, carb, electrical, ect.

With the weight of the 200x Im not sure how peppy this conversion would be. Let us know.

Being that a modern 125 makes more then double the hp a 200x does it should move pretty good. If you want the project to look and work good you've got a lot of work on your hands. YOur going to need the motor, electics, carb, pipe and probably a T3 front end with the radiator on the front. Good luck with all the frame and exhaust mods.

I have both the cr125 and 200x, and the 125 would have some problems pulling the 200x from the bottom probably. Once you get going though it'll rip nicely. Things to take into consideration is radiator and all that..I wouldn't reccomend getting an air cooled cr125 motor, because they haven't been around since I beleive early 80's. I think the 200x makes around 18 hp or so, but has a lot of torque opposed to the 31-32 hp of the 125 with very little low end.
