ok guys, i just got my 88 r put back together last night. new piston, gaskets, seals, ct racing national porting kit, etc... had the entire motor tore down and cleaned yesterday (a couple hours before i put it back together). after a bunch of kicks i got it to start last night, let it idle and did some light reving then killed it, and repeated like 5 mins later (each time it took a -bunch- of kicks), and did it once more an hour later that night (havent rode it yet because i have to get a masterlink today). today i go out to start it up before i get the masterlink, kick it a BUNCH of times & cant get it to do anything! after about 5 mins of kicking it and turning the choke on/off, turning the gas on/off, checking the plug, checking the wiring, the idle, etc... i get it to backfire while choked. after another couple mins of kicking it and checking everything (trying everything to ge it to run) i get it to backfire again, the a minute later it turns over about twice and backfires. it hasnt done anything since (because im cooling off from a swearing session now), so whats the deal????
