One of my forks is leaking so we proceeded to tear apart.
We have tried everything to pull fork tube out of slider. Its not comin out period. Also the hex nut at bottom is just floating in there it will not come out. (Floating = just turns any direction Possibly striped) Is there some secret here that we are missing?thx Jen

If you've already pulled the fork spring out, put it back in and put the cap on. That puts pressure on the part in the bottom that the hex bolt is screwed into. That will usually hold it in place so you can remove the bolt. Once that is out, you should be able to get the tube out by sort of extending it sort of hard (like a slide hammer). Before you do that though, make sure you pull the dust ring.
I've gone through two sets on my bike. Hopefully that will help you some.;)

yep tried that...the nut still spins. for once however we didn't strip the hex but I am wonderin about the threads themselves. any other ideas I am hopin to avoid the drill. Is there a way to perhaps get the seal out with pullin the tube. thx Jen

DO YOU HAVE A AIR COMPRESOR? SOMETIMES THEY NEED A QUICK SHOCK TO GET THEM TO BREAK LOOSE HONDA USES LOCK TIGH ON THEM

Jenn Check the front fork section in the 350x manual. I think your 200x forks are disassembled the same. I am of the opinion that you should take the bottom hex bolt out very first thing, before you start removing the shock from the trike. It might be possible to change the seal without removing the slider, but I have never seen it done. Good Luck

Ok will try impact we have not used that yet due to we were nervous. You know how easy hex's themselves like to strip. I am useing the 350x manual I don't have a 200x one. From what I can tell they are the same. If and when I get this apart next question will be how much oil and pressure. lol Hopefully the owners manual I just won off ebay will tell that. Thx guys.

The bolt should come out first thing after draining the oil. I heated mine with a propane torch to soften up the locktite the first time I took it apart.

Have you taken the fork out of the bike? if so put it back in, put the spring and the cap back on it. The weight of the bike pushing down on the spring will help hold things in place so you can break the hex bolt lose. I also like the hex sockets on a ratchet over a regular hex wrench.

Ok I tried everyones suggestion.... plus I did a better one rocketman I put a rod in where the tire hooks up and use leg muscles......lol nope wasn't gonna budge. after reputting spring back in for umptheenth million time I finally put air pressure into them.Gotta love blowin things up....Guess what the oil plug/seal popped now onto the stupid little hex.....Gggggrrrrr after tring every bit of power I have. It would not come out.........I finally called up to see if I can replace Cause I am gonna drill the little #$@%!@$ piece !@#$. They said bring it in. ok I did it IT's apart yipppppppieeeeeee. Now the goods news is I am not stupid we would have never gotten it out. What caused the spinning are you ready ...... Some one put lock seal on it
:wtf: :bash: :fire:
Needless to say it is officially apart and I am :D Again.
By the way I think I have discovered a nifty trick to just changin the oil ring lol Since I am prob 99% screwed when the other fork starts leakin.
