That bottom end also set me back about 250$$. Crazy how much engines cost. Oh everything got powder coated too and got new fork boots. How much do you think i could get for a bike that looks totaly new? Pics soon....need camera:lmao:

you paid $450 for a $100 piston and a $40 bore job????

I'll second Kasey's  .
Was that $450 just for the piston and bore or was there something else in there as well?
Don't worry about the kicker. Just use the right side case cover and kicker gears from a 200X. That's all that's needed to convert.

haha...i know i think i paid WAY to much for all that. Whatever...i now owe my dad 450 bucks but, you know...hope its worth it. Ohh well, heres the list of things i got.
Wiseco performance piston 12:1
full gasket set
Performance Cam
New performance valves(bigger than stock)
new cam chain sprocket
Bored out cylinder .040
The valves were in that whole set. Everything you see up there equaled out to $450.79 exactly i believe. The cam wasnt from veys though.

hahahaha
NO, now that would be down right stupid! My bike didn't come with anything, you must understand. You know trike fest should really think about doing a glamis thing....LOL maybe just a thought. I think im going to get a DID o-ring chain and maybe, in the future, run a 15/28 sprocket set so i can get up to the high speeds. parts are still rolling in so i never know what i will get next. Cant wait for my xr motor to come in...will be awesome. Haha my friend said when im done i should race his 250R ATC...i cant wait, to lose! haha maybe ill get the hole shot...:salute: i know i wont but it can't hurt to dream. Well i'll keep ya'll posted on my progress..later

DID X-ring is a superior chain, now as far as your sprocket your ****in nuts, there is no damn way a 200x will have enough power to run that type of gearing, if you took that gearing to glamis youll be watchin people ride.

I doubt i have any chance against a 250R, maybe an 81...still doubt it. Maybe one of the first tri-Z's could lose to me..haha we'll see. Yeah Jen's trike is really nice, It's just the decompression. Am i wrong? Whatever, the time will come...Just need bottom end conversion then the wait till october sets in:mad:

It was the decompression but seein how she loved to harras me and my poor tri-z I have to return the favor :nono:, now a stock tri-z will be faster than an 81-82 250r and a 83-84 250R. Chances are you wont take one, but the XR conversion is still pretty sick.

LOL I am staying out of this.
Fire, go ahead and use the 200x kicker shaft, and that side cover. If you dont you will run into problems. I am thinking you probably didnt get the xr side covers? There is more to that kicker then you know. So really really recommend useing the 200x one. Everything except the kicker shafts themselves are interchangeable. And the side covers, they need to be with their right kicker, along with the outer gears...

I love this artical, it talks about what to expect with the 6 speed.
Decompression decompression sheesh i will never live this down....HAHAHA if it werent for me you all be kicking the **** out of your legs! (LOL I should shudup, we still are ourselves) By the way mine is back down again for tweaking. But I just dont think it would take any of the 250 2 strokes.
The pricing actually sounds about right...did you get the drum and shifter thingys for the tranny? If you only paid 250 for that, I think I may go for another one as well.
Fire very good luck, post progress of the rebuild!

DUDE......why didn't you give me a heads up on your pending shop work @ Veys? I thought you were going to wrench on that yourself..
they probably stuck some flunk on your trike....I could've got you Vey himself OR Mike Tripes (Marty Tripes bro) to wrench on it...
listen dude...next time feel free to drop me a PM before you do that.....
Not to mention I would've met you there and introduced you to my GOOD friend and HERO...(Tommy Gaian) He would be happy to gude you on your rebuild.

If i even tried to do the top end myself I would have skrewed something up Terribly so i left it to the professionals. Hey Mymint, i need help on this bottom end so when i get it ill hit u up an maybe we can meet somewhere to work on things....When i finnaly get things working for this whole photo thing...Pictures of my trike will be up soon.

gearshift drum and forks, did you get them with the tranny? Your tranny wont work without em.

Decompression is completely different setup so dont confuse the 2. By the way shifter shaft interchangeable (thats #9 and all the goodies with it)

Oh yes, I have a complete bottom end. The motor just wont shift into any other gears. I mean, from that article i read that you showed me, you can litteraly drop in an Xr200 bottom end and ride away. Am i wrong on this? I would eventually put the 200x kicker in there but you know...Its not anything big.

It will be a fun ride but you know what, It will still be a 200x!!:chuckle: They are fun but it sure isn't a tecate, or for that matter my super cool atc 70. I would like to see some pics of this 200x though.
