heyya''lllllllll.............i was just wantin to share how my project is goin.....first off, its a 1985 350x, with a 2+2 Durablua axle, resprung and revalved stock shock, work done by PEP, and thats about it as far as major chassis mods goes so far,
and the motor is a stock bore 1986 Tecate, stock carb, etc, put that thing in there, without too much trouble, made all the mounts out of diamond plate(we'll see if it holds up for at least 1 season  ) i have a pipe i made out of the stocker on it, runnin it w/o the silencer cuz i dont have a 2 stroke one layin around, so i moved the needle clip down one and turned the air screw half a turn in and she runs like a dreamm....hasnt moved yet thoo, im building a custom subframe soon that might possible be aluminum, and im thinkin of makin it to hold the Tecate radiators and have an electric fan runnin off the motor on them, would that 1) be enough airflow and B) will it draw too much powre , im not runnin lights, thats my major question, i was jus wonderin if ya'll had any suggestions or anything?next major thing i think im gunna do is change the way the front downtube comes down, but believe me, ive heavily thought about how to do it and make it as strong if not stronger than stock....
I dont have any decent pictures of it so fartho

tryin to get pics, but they all come out extremely blurry, i hate this camera.....the lens is perfectly clean..... i figured out my radiator problem as long as i can make my pipe go by/around it without touching it or it bein in the way, i was thinkin of makin it go out to the right side and its a right side pipe,
but wouldnt the lack of that much of the expansion chamber effect the performance in a bad way?
Thanks for any thoughts

Well I haven't ever heard of anyone doing what you are attempting to do. It'll be a one of a kind but why are you putting the Tecate motor in a 350X frame? Why not just get the lighter Tecate frame and go from there? Then you wouldn't have to do so much engineering.

how much does your T3 weigh, i betcha this weighs less, and its better setup for MX cuz im changin some stuff on the frame diff subframe diff swinger, +4 axle, lowered, all that stuff, and if it doesnt handle as well as i anticipate im not scared to cut out pieces of the frame and weld in new pieces for different stance .... and what fun is bolting together a bike the wayy its supposed to go together for 5-10 times more money, and end up with a heavier, worse performing trike?

I dunno, the T3's weigh in around 280-85 lbs dry weight, thats pretty darn light, and as for MX the Tecate was really set up for mx'ing. They said in one of the articles it was 90% race ready.

yah im down to 285 with just a tank of preix and otherthan that pretty much dry, that was basicly jus the motor cjange saving alll that weight  that was w/o a pipe and airfilter too, a pound or 3 more..... and w/o my custom swinger or aluminum subframe im makin.....the swinger might bea pound or 2 heavier or less, i migt jus take a 450R rear end and make the front 1/4 of it myself and a custom shock mount and use the 450 shock rear axle etc....i havent decided if i want to spend money on a used rear end or not :(

ya'll think a lil bit shorter swinger and 18" tires would be best, or a 1/2" to 2 1/2" longer with 20s or 18s depending on gearing, where im ridin etc... for a mildly modified Tecate motor?(port, pipe, no airbox(gaurd and outerwear tho) bigger carb, milled head, stock bore)
