i have a 85 350x and does anyone know what series the factory carb is on it i know it is a keihin but does anyone know what series it is? i have just put a 12:1 piston and a mild cam in it and i need to re jet it it is running way too lean ( i think) any one have any suggestions on what size? i can get it started and it will idle pretty decent and it runs pretty good but if i ever kill it i cant start it i have to take the plug out and clean it. the plug gets real black i think that means it is running lean right? so i probably just need to re jet it dont I??

A black plug means its burning too much fuel, or is burning oil. Does it smoke at all? If it were running lean the plug would be whiteish colored.

The Keihin carb in it is not any particular series, it was made for Honda speicaly for the 350x, and that is the only bike it was ever used on. But the main jets in it are there standard hex main jets and you can get them from any one that handles Keihin carb parts. Like hrc200x said, if your plug is black you are running rich, or burning oil. Do you know what size jets are in the carb now?

And where in Missouri are you?

the stock carb is 34mm has a 138 main jet 42 pilot jet almost all keihin main jets are interchangeable pilot jets are a differant story they have several eries of them. i can't remember off the top of my head what series the 350x uses but your local shop can set you up.
