Any of you guys ever change rear axle and swingarm bearings? How hard of a job is it? Is there a lot of difference in bearing quality, or are any bearings with seal good to go? I'm getting ready to do chain and sprockets, swingarm and rear wheel bearings.

It all depends on how long a go they were done. If some one has replaced them a few years back and they are due again. It shouldnt be to bad. But if they are the stock one be prepared for a fight on the swing arm bearings. But the axle bearings shouldnt be to bad. I just did front and rear bearings on my 83 200x. And it was maybe a 4 hour job start to finnish. But i didnt do the swing arm bearings because they were still good.
As far as bearing brands go i dont think it makes a big difference which brand you go with. They will probable all last about the same amount of time. If you want to spend more you could get them right from honda. Or go to your local auto shop with the numbers and have them look up the numbers in National or Cr brands. But i just bought a set from some one on ebay. And they dont even have a name on them. So i was a little worried about that. But i have been beating the heck out of them for awhile with no trouble yet. And the whole set for the front and rear was $21.00 WITH shipping. And the seals were like $10.00 at dennis kirk. So for that much money i could afford to change them every year. And never have to worrie about them getting rusted in.
