Whats The Best Pipes I Can Put On My 1985 Honda 250es...please Help Me People!!

HEY I'M THE OWNER OF A HONDA 250ES 85' AND THE ORINGONAL EXASUT IS FULL OF HOLES NOW AND I DON'T WANT TO PUT A STOCK ONE BACK ON. I WANT SOMETHING WITH A NICE SOUND.

i have an 85 250 big red also and i just bought the cobra utility exhaust pipe. it sounds good and is reasonably priced. the one bad thing about it is the where the header pipe bends it gets hot enough to melt the black paint off the header pipe but other that that it is a great exhaust system

It depends a lot on how much you want to spend. The Cobras are the cheapest. Then the DG. Then a super trapp. The cheaper ones make a lot of noise but not a lot of power. I would recommend a super trapp for just about any app. That way you can adjust it to your vehicle and your riding.

And Kyle you might want to check your timing and carb settings. Usally if the pipe is getting that hot the timing could be a little off and opening the exhaust valve a little to early and letting the flames go down the pipe. Or your carb might be a little to rich. And not buring all the fuel before the valve opens and lets the flames go down the pipe.

Just a thought. I have seen it a lot on street bikes where they turn the chrome pipes coming out of the engine blue. Because of getting to hot.

Supertrapp doesnt make anything for Big Reds. I would rather just do a cobra or DG because I dont think its worth having a Supertrapp on a Big Red.

I stand corrected. My buddie had a super trapp on his 83 200e big red. But i couldnt find one for the newer big reds.
