2stroke pipe seal

is there supposed to be a clamp or some kind of sealant or something between the pipe and silencer on my Tecate? there ain't none on mine right now and I don't want to burn anything up if I'm supposed to have it. :eek:

there wasnt one on my old one, or on my old kx bike, all it had was one pipe slid over the other, and a rubber hose type thing that slid over the two, and then was clamped.

ohhh, mine doesn't have that rubber hose thing over them.
