1985 Honda 250ES problem's

Hey.For quit some time now I have been noticeing some sort of boggyness in my trike. I ain't quit sure what could be the problem and is seeking help. While trike is runnig u can smack the trottle really fast and it will shut off. I noticed also that when it is left up for a couple of days, u can start it and smell gas while it is going. I don't know if it's the air filter. I am going to try and fix it tomorrow and I would like some advicce before tomorrow and where to start looking for the problem. I am only 14 but I know a nice bit about it. COuld it be carb problems??

My 185s got like that before. I put a dose of fuel stabilizer in it and cleared it right up. I think the gas was weak.;)

Do u mean Gas Line anti freeze? or is it the same thing? mine hasn't just been like it for one tank of gas. it's like it all the time.
