Bike Bandit lists the Fork Boot at $34.95 for the 350X. I assume that's for each boot, but does anyone know for sure?

I like the look of the OEM a lot better than the $15 EBAY boots. I'm not spending $70 for fork boots though. :loser:

that sounds cheap. I think they only come in pairs though. that's how I got mine.

Thanks, IF that's a pair, it's worth it. I guess I'll ask BB before I order.

ATCnut,

I saw them still on service honda's website with part # 51611-HA5-013 for $25.10. I assume that is for each one?

250sx,

Did you get yours from BikeBandit.com? Was that $34 for a pair of boots? I'd like to order some new ones for my 350X.

Dan who did you get your boots from? Was it BikeBandit or ServiceHonda or? Just trying to clarify who you got them from being in a pair.

Thanks,
Doug

The OEM boots come one to a package. So you need two of the OEM part number.

ATCnut,

What that for BikeBandit or ServiceHonda or both? Just trying to see who's gonna be cheaper to get them from.

Thanks!

I asked BikeBandit.com's tech if the fork boots come as a pair or individually, and they said "OEM parts come individually, so 2 would need to be ordered."

Bike Bandit is ok I guess......

I use Service Honda consistently. About 7 days door to door, 9$ shipping and probably 20% cheaper than Bike Bandit.

I placed an order in December for 200X,350X and 250R boots - all available. And a few 86/87 200X kickstarters as there are 2 sizes available.

There really is allot of OEM stuff still available.

Keep ordering it!!

Im SURE somebody has bought fork boots off this guy. If they fit the 85/86 350x so good how they supposed to fit the 85/86 250r just as good? Forks are fatter on the R at the bottom. Guy replied to me and said HIS STRETCH. So anyone with 85/86 250R Forks run these if so how they work out? I can get OEM for like 68 shipped.

I have use his boots on 200X, 350X and 250R and they all fit/stretch just fine. They aren't a bad match and he gives you nice clamps with them also....

I just bought new 250R boots, they were 25.96 each. But, there the best looking boot you can buy!!

my local honda rip off store wanted $35 each for an OEM fork boot for 250r. I just got home from my local 4x4 offroad center and picked up what look to be the exact boots this guy is selling (shock boots) mine made by BDS for 4.99 each.

Yes, you can use "shock boots" as fork boots.
That's an old trick from the 80's that we used many times.
Of course they were a little more expensive back then.

Rancho and trailmaster BOTH have RED.
There is red, blue, green, purple, yellow, white, black........ about any color you want can be found.

You can also get them in silicone instead of rubber and they are easier to clean and don't dry and crack.

While we are talking "shortcuts" to good parts.....
I have found ALL of the bolts, screws, nuts, and washers I needed at Lowe's (building supply).
They have all grades, and even STAINLESS.
And a little cheaper than the $100 "kits" that some folks are gouging for.
And if you just have to have a plastic case for the hardware, you can also find these at chinamart or lowe's fairly cheap.

I'm lucky I guess as we have a bolt "wholesaler" in town too.
I got a lot of my 4x4 and truck replacements from them.
Haven't looked into their communist size (metric) selection yet.
