I am almost complete on my rebuild and the last thing is the rear brake. It will not work no matter what I do. I took the piston out of the caliper(slides in and out nice and easy). I have taken the master cylinder apart and cleaned it real good and still nothing. I see no leaks at all. I have bled the brakes for over a hour and nothing. When I push the pedal down the piston moves out a little and then comes back in to where it was. No matter how much I bleed the brakes or pump the brakes I can not get them to work. The piston never pushes out to the rotor all the way just move back and forth. I need some advice bad!

Are you getting fluid out of the caliper bleeder?

Yes, If I open the caliper bleeder and then push the peday I get fluid. Then I hold the pedal down and close the bleeder and release the pedal.

Have you taken the slide mount off the caliper? sometime they seize up, I think you need an allen head to take it off.

The slides are free, I can slide the caliper back and forth on them. When I pump the pedal there is no resistance at all.

Dave Thanks for the help, I got the problem solved. It hit me like a ton of bricks. I looked at my schematics for the brake master cylinder after talking to you. I picked up the entire rear brake assembly off of Ebay a few weeks ago and all I used was the reservoir and the master cylinder. Well when I pulled the master cylinder apart I put it back together as it came apart, and I did not not look in my manual. Well when the spring was put back in the rubber cap was at the top of the master cylinder instead of the bottom. :wtf: So when you pushed the pedal most of the fluid just circulated in the master cylinder with only a little going to the caliper. So I pulled it apart and put it back together and after 5 minutes of pumping and bleeding everything is working great. Simple fix, but a huge pain in the ass. Thanks for the help and all the info.:bash:
