just got a yamaha breeze, looking to put a bigger carb & deliever more air/fuel, m question to you is would a stock liquid R carb work, or would it just flood it? if not, would a blaster carb work?
Everything I've read says not to mix 4 stroke and 2 stroke carbs. Look for one off of a 200x, or 300ex/250x, or even the new 250ex.

well what youve read must contradict what ive done, because ive put stock R carbs on 250x's & 300ex's & after jetting them, they worked great. (im not trying to be a jerk, its just ive heard others say that it doesnt work that way and yada yada yada, then shown em my old x & my friend's ex & they were shocked lol). by the way, how is that yfz450 working out? ive suggested that a couple of my friends that are looking for new quads persue them instead of honda 450rs because ive heard a lot of better things about the motors on the yamaha from a couple of racer friends, relatives, & a local mechanic or 2, but ive never ridden one (rode my buddies 450r and it was FaSt, but -supposedly- the yamaha model is about the same speed-wise).
Usually seems that is the way it goes. You read something, and another person reads the exact opposite I guess you can only really know by doing it.
I love my YFZ. After having a 400ex for a couple years I was afraid of the extra power. I got used to it quick. The best way I've heard it described is that it's like holding a cat's tail and dragging a wire brush across it's butt. The YFZ is faster no doubt about it. With a couple mods the YFZ's can fit anyone's riding style.

sounds good man, fits what ive heard about them to the T. does anyone know the hp ratings on them?
Don't know and don't care about HP numbers. It's all about how you like the quad/trike or don't like it.
