I started my three wheeler up today and i noticed it was smoking.     DAmn it i get the clutch fized and it starts smoking. IT went away after it got warmed up but im just mad becouse we jsut overhauled it. btw the compresion is at 12:1 was a used weisco piston off ebay inspected and no damage. I cant belive this. Im going to put a 200x carb on in about a week so ill know for sure if its the carb doing it. Why cant anything go right.
They will some times smoke till ring seat then stop. If the smoke has a blueish tint it is oil , if it's fuel you will get black soot in the exh. pipe. valve guides it will smoke on start up then stop after it burns of the oil that leeked on to valves.

lol ive got to get a car first thats why im working on this little craper.... . O well if it does start smoking heavily im gona blow it sky high screw putting more rings in it cause ive been down that road. my old 185 started puffing smoke and it took a year before i finaly got it rebuilt. by that time ill have my license have a car and have a job. car + job= 1986 200x. get used to the x ill get a 350. They are getting a little rare tho. For ever one who keeps a trike up has to buy parts and unfortunatly those parts are from dead atc's that none cares to fix. damn it over here a 350x increases in value at least 200 dollars a year. crazy rednecks want upwards of 3000 dollars for them now. last year when i priced them the 200x was going for 800-1200.00 and the 350 was 1500-2500.00... Im going to be the new employe at walmart until i get a few good trikes. After that itll be time to goto trade school than i can afford the real good stuff.
like a R

I know how you feel. It is no fun to take something apart again after you just fixed it. And if it is just smoking a little at start up i wouldnt worrie about it to much. Just keep a eye on the oil level to make sure it dosnt get to low. And you might have to switch plugs more often. But it should run for awhile until you can get some cash together.
