Fouling Plugs

My 83 185s isfouling plugs all the time. But the thing is, is doesn't burn oil. When I switch the plugs it will run good for about 20 minutes. It ran perfect before winter but when we pulled it out of the garage it wouldn't start and have to change the plugs all the time now. It doesn't smoke blue when it is running, what could be wrong?:bash: :(

It sounds like you might have some varnish in the carb from old gas. It could be enought to be screwing up the jets some. Or maybe not letting the needle jet go back down in its seat when ideling. I would take the carb off and give it a good cleaning out. Also make sure that the aircleaner is clean. And that a mouce hadnt built a nest in the airbox over the winter.
