You will need to explain it a little better, but could it be a clutch problem (engine revs, but trike does not move) , or is it a fuel problem (bogs down, will not rev)?

engine revs great. When i got it it didnt run so i rebuilt the carb and it ran. also the gears slip a lot 2 . when i fisrt tried to ride it nothing happened [idnt go anywhere], a friend told me i put too much oil in it so i took some out and it ran better, till it got hot. also there is some oil leaking out above the trans. on the engine, only when hot

A lot of times when a motorcycle with a wet clutch (as the ATC) sits for years unused, the clutch fiber disks get slick. Sometimes a quick fix is to remove and roughen them up. A better fix is to replace the clutch disks. That is if it is a clutch problem. Also, the ATC's have 2 clutches ! The Manual and the centrifigual !

No, I meant the shift lever actually operates a manual clutch, it is really a semi-auto. It disengages a disc type clutch with the same lever that operates the fork drums. Notice that when you shift, it doesn't take off until you let the shift lever back down. That is the clutch engaging just as if You had a hand clutch and let it out.

ok i see now. so u recomend trying to fix the clutch. oh when i first got it. if it was in gear. one tire would go one way the othere the other way making it almost impossible to push now even in gear it moves fairly easy. could that be part of the prob????
