My boy's 83' honda 110 atc was in like new shape.
Untill yesterday when he said it wouldn't shift into nuetral.
The trans seems to have 3ed and 4th gear only.
It wont click into any other gears, but works good in those.
It just pushes up and wont go any further.
The hi/low range work's fine
Any suggestions will help.
Thanks.....................................................Troll

A bent shift fork maybe?. Will it shift in all gear`s if the motor is not running?. On a 110 they only have 4 gear`s correct. So maybe the shift fork for third and forth is still working but the fork for first and second might have bent and not be moving back and forth. I sure hope you dont have to crack the case open.

Yes the 110 only has four speeds.
It wont shift even with the engine off.
I'm starting to disassemble it now.
Wish me luck.................................................Troll:shrug:

Good luck!!!!!! I hope you have a manual for it. Them trannies can be a bugger when every thing start`s falling out of them.

ok, pull the right sidecover off, its where the clutch is at, on a friends a similar thing happend and all it was, was a bolt came loose, causing the shaft to not actuate the lower gears.

Thanks for the tips.......and luck guys.
I think it helped .
Turbo you could be right . Under the cover there was a loose bolt that holds a piece that looks like a it would cause that problem !
I'll let you all know how it goes......................Thanks...............Troll:hail:

The 110 works great ! The loose bolt under the right side cover was the problem. I'm sure glad it wasn't anything inside the trans.
Thanks for helping us get it going again....................Troll
