Hi,does anyone know if an 80's era XR Carb,Cam and Head is a "bolt-on" mod?
If so,what year parts shall I be looking for.I was looking at my mates XR engine, and I swear the top-end looks identical.
Cheers

Hey man, thanks for the speedy reply.I take it all years are the same? Also, what would be a fair price for these parts?
Is there a great advantage to running an xr trans?I cant really seem to find one around here that isn't missing any parts... Do you think it would be worthwile to swap to a whole XR motor?.
Cheers

it is years 1986-2000 i believe. Yeah you will have a suggnificant power gain from a 200e motor to a XR200R motor. You will need the XR ignition as well though.

And a forward kickstart if I am right?I still want the auto clutch though.Would it be best to put a whole XR topend on my motor?

for the forward start, you would need to switch out the kicker gears from a 83-85 200x. If you need to keep the autoclutch, then yes it would be best to put the whole XR topend on your motor.
