hey ppl check this out ive been a current owner of a tricked out, yamaha yt125 (tri moto). and any way I recently got a 81 honda 200, now i dont think its the 200x cause it dont have shocks. suprisingly its in really good conition, the gas tank is rusty inside, but i fed it some gas straight to the carb, and it light up, and well its been sittin for some years now,and i saw that it need a new exaust pipe. its kinda loud, and also when i turn the gas tank valve on, my carb leaks from the bottom, but its weird when the bike is on it dont leak. now that i thimk of it im not even sure if its 2 or 4 stroke, does it take a mix of some sort?? also where can i find a exaust pipe, and a carb., i really like this trike its way more powerfull then my yamaha 125, yet i want it to be as dependable,, the honda dont want to stay lit, very long, without dieing. plus it seemes to take like 15 to 29 pulls to start, any replys??????????

It is a 4-stroke. In 81 they made what they called a 200. No x/s/se/m or anything like that. So just straigh gas is needed no mix gas. As far as the carb goes it sound`s like the float is just stuck. Take the carb apart and clean it good. And you can get what you need for it. Including a new plastic gas tank if you want at http://www.denniskirk.com

does the pipe maintain roughly the same diameter from the engine to the muffler? if so it's a 4stroke. the only 2stroke honda made was a 250r and it had suspension.

a leaking carb is easily fixed. just get a new bowl gasket. it probably needs to be cleaned out thoroughly anyway. pipes from a 185 should also fit so you won't have any trouble locating an exhaust. are there actual holes or it it just loud?

when do we get to see some pics of the new ride?
