Here’s a weird one. I have an 84 125m that bogs out if the throttle is wide open (and also whe half of 3/4 throttle)only if the air cleaner assembly is attached. If the air cleaner assembly is not connected then the engine works perfect. That would lead me to believe that the engine is running lean with the air cleaner attached??? What’s weird is that if I close the choke most of the way (with air cleaner attached) the engine works fine at WOT. Which would make me think the engine is running rich???
Engine has good compression 150psi, good spark, timing is on, carb is clean, and has the correct jetting, idles fine. Problem occurs with or without an air filter installed.
I’m running out of ideas?? Through out some ideas to get me thinking again. Thanks :D
