350x timing

I wondered, on my 350x fly wheel there is 2 marks. There is 2 lines going up and down, and there is a number 10 mark it looks like when the engine is at tdc. When its almost at tdc there is the 2 lines going up and down. When it is at total tdc there is the 1 and the 0 next to eachother. Which one is right? There both almost at tdc. I just need to time my 350x. Which one is the T mark?:wtf:

after reading all your 350X post i think its time for you to buy a service manual. all your questions would be answered by it.

by the way... when turning over the motor and bringing the piston to top dead center the "T" mark is the second one on the flywheel.

So the timing T mark is the 10 mark and not the two lines going up and down? I have the pdf manual. :headbang: It is at the T mark when the piston is at complete top dead center?

THERE IS ONLY ONE T MARK!! dont worry about the other lines and stuff. |T| <--- is what it looks like. Your realy making rebuilding that engine much harder than it is. Its verry easy just read the manuel and do what it says. Or bring it up here and ill put it back together for you.

Thanks for the help NOS. I just don't want to mess up. Check twice, do once. I will look at the |T| mark I am prety sure I did it right. Thanks though you have been a great help all the time. I am greatfull, I just need the extra assurence.

I had it all done tonight. When the cam sprocket is lined up with the head and the top punch mark is up and the |T| is lined up and the lobes are down. The cam sprocket seems to be either to the left just a hair and when I try to correct it with one tooth over, it goes a hair over the other way. Its crazy. I mean a SLIGHT hair. I am sure its timed now.
