A friend has a 200x in great shape, but no motor. Will a 250x/300ex fit? He doesn't want to put another 200s motor on it.
If it will fit in the frame we can make it work.

That would be the most awesome thing if you put a 250X engine in a 200x chassis.
ANYTHING is possible, remember that...so it shouldnt be too hard.

The motor mounts are way different. You can put a 250x motor into a 350x frame. But the mounts on the 200x were a lot different. Because i thought about putting a 200x motor into my 350x while i was working on the motor and there was a lot of changes that would had to be made (wiring is different intake and exhaust is different motor mounts are way different) so i said screw it. So if a built up 200x motor isnt enough power for him. I would say to sell the 200x chassie and look for a 350x chassie or maybe a 2-stroke trike.
If he had a stock 200s motor in there to begine with. I think he would be very surprized how much power a built 200x motor has compared to a 200s.

i was going to put a 250x motor in my 200x. the motor is longer and i do not think it will fit. the carb also looked like it would not fit without makeing a new manifold. my friend had the motor but i thought it would be more work than it was worth.
and you may all so find the jug is to high for the frame.

Thanks for the help. We wanted to think of something creative to do with the bike. Back to looking for an 84 200x motor.
