I think christian had a big red or a 250sx with a 200x front end on it. I think that would be the way to go. Because you will need the new shocks to be able to mount up the brake caliper to. But it is going to cost a little $$$$$. You can find a 200x front shocks and tripple tree on ebay for around $75.00 Then you will need a 200x axle $25.00 or so. Then a complete 200x front brake system $75.00 there abouts. And a 200x rim $10.00 or so. So it could end up running you around $200.00 to do the swap. And in my opinion it wouldnt be worth it. There is nothing wrong with a good working set of drum brakes. And i think the BR would be worth more stock.

Sounds good Fuzzy,
I was just trying to find out about it. im brand new to the trikes, my brother and i have had a few growing up but we never, or i never really messed with it. but i sure do like them. so you figure just go with some new brake shoes and stuff and be happy. sounds good just was curious. hey, what about recovering a seat? were do you get the material from and stuff for that, it would seem pretty easy to recover it or maybe just swing it to an upholstry shop and get a price from them to do it. i dunno, the 250 i got needs a lil TLC but other than that it's pretty nice.
Thanks, Howard:D

Hey there nothing wrong with trying to improve things. But the stock brakes will work just fine.

As far as the seat goes. You can buy just a sheet of vinyl from www.denniskirk.com to recover it yourself. Or check out the auctions on ebay. There is allways people selling seat covers for trikes. Or maybe just buy another seat if you can find a good used one cheaper then having it recovered.

all you need to do the seat is a cover and a big staple gun. leave the brakes alone, they'll more than do the job w/ a good set of shoes. check your rear hub and make sure it's tight, they're prone to come loose and wear out. change your rear diff. fluid now b/c it's probably never been done. and oh yeah don't run anything but motorcycle oil.
