the bike runs very good......then it got hard to start,and backfires ,starts after kickin it for awhile,runs poorly.Did we hurt it on the last ride?Tried spark plug,didnt help??Thanks.......

Sounds like piston slap from worn piston rings and cylinder bore. When was the top end last done. May need a bore, piston rings and gaskets and bearing. That's where I'd start. Also, try cleaning and repacking the silencer, maybe try that first.
