gasket sealant?

I am rebuilding my carb on my 83' atc 250r and changing the reeds--- what kind of gasket sealer should I use between the motor and the reed cage and rubber boot ? I was thinking about a permatex brand-- but I am not sure what color is best --:confused: :confused:

The sealent i use is honda bond. it's oil and gas resistent and paintable.
