i took my motor apart today well the side case to see what the clutches looked like bacuse when i would shift it in a gear when it wasnt running and try to push the bike off it would not catch and make the motor spin it would whir. WEll like i say i took the motor apart adn i noticed right off the clutch that looks kinda like a go cart clutch the one that stick farthest out i could turn it in both directions one direction it would turn the motor and the other clutch and one direction it was a rough turn liike it was trying to catch but it wouldnt. Now is this my problem. And what is it does the whole thing need to be replaced or does it need a part inside it? thanks guys i know its kinda vague but im no mechanic btw its a 200s

have you tried simply adjusting the clutch?

Does the clutch do OK when it's running? Sounds like you need to repair the pull starter.

no it dosnt really work when it is running. Itll shift funny say when u shift on a automatic in between gears there is a sort of neutral like say u hold the shifter up or down u can rev the motor itll sort of disengage the clutch. Well on my motor there is no neutral spot when i shift all teh way up or down itll still be in gear itll go into another gear but it wont disegage. Hard to explain so thats why when i put it in gear while it isnt runnign instead of the wheels turing the motor itll jsut spin and not catch to spin the motor you hear a whir noice inside the motor but it does not catch to spin the cranks shaft. im about ready to send it to the local shop and have them charge 40 adn hour to do it. only thing is i took the motor off the frame. In your opinion how much would you charge if i brought you a motor and a frame and asked for you to fix teh clutch put it back in the frame and get it running. it needs a spark plug wire i belive. or how long will this take so i can calculate how much i will need when i bring it up there

First put the motor back on. Second, Did you try adjusting the clutch yet? Third, Has someone removed the side cover before? Sounds like the shift guide may be fliped backwards.
