ust cant get my cr 500 to run right it will start fine then it will flood out and die the carb over flows and it dies and keps leaking gas i have no clue what to do anymore i cleaned it so many times any help would be awsome thanks

replace the float needle. Set the float level correctly. Put an inline fuel filter on it.
deffinatly i searched and ive narrowed it down to pretty much those this you said im gonna get a new needle and seat and bath the carb in clean flow first then put a filter just incase thanks man

Your carb may be clean already. It sounds like the float is either too high or sticking. Either case will make fuel flow into the motor and bog it out or kill it. Cr500s should be pretty easy to jet and set up. I had an 87 for 14 years and never had an issue with the carb. Any little piece of dirt in the float needle will hold it open enough to let fuel flow thru. Good luck.
