Help Identify Honda ATC engine

How can I tell what size engine this is. All I know is it is a Honda engine. Older style with pull start and auto clutch. The engine is mounted on a Kawasaki KLX frame. Runs pretty good but I cannot start modifying it until I can figure out what size it is.

I have looked it over fairly well for id numbers with no luck. Any suggestions welcome.

The vin number should be on the bottom side of the motor under the shifter. the cc's should be on top of the cylinder (on the backside)

What I found is:

Left side of motor below shifter:
TB01E-2017266

Rear of Jug down low 192 CM 3 (Cubed) duh cubic centimeters


Can you tell by the serial what this is? Would it be a 185 or 200 cc and what year if you can tell.

If its a 192 its probably a 200.

No electric start? IF not then it is a 200 or 200s. The difference is the decompression lever. Check the top of the head on the right, if the lever has the attachent for a cable to go in then it is a 200s motor, it the lever is made to be switched up by hand then it is a 200 (plain) motor.

No electric start only the pull rope and it does not appear to have a compression release. At least I have been unable to find one so far.

I found that part weird since I bought it even the 110 I had as a teenager had the compression release lever.


It may get even stranger in the coming days, I am trying to buy a non running Suzuki LT125 quad to put this Honda motor on :-) The rolling chassis seems to be in better condition than the Kawasaki frame it is on now....but hey I only have 100 in this thing so far....what can it hurt to spend another 50 and get a quad out of it.

the vin (if I have that number) will tell me what engine was in it. Just IDing the bike.
The cc stamp on the jug will tell what is in it how.

The quad deal did not materialize....so I am still looking for either another frame to put this motor on or a good rear brake package for the KLX frame. Do we have anyone here who can postively identify this motor by the number? Or since we know it is 200 cc can I buy any replacement parts for that size motor. Knowing the year would probably be helpful.

Wondering if my local Honda dealer can tell me by the numbers I have?

A picture of the motor would really help. It is one of the honda "200" cc motors, a pic would let us tell which one.

not leaving you hanging, we are in the process of moving, I moved the bike today and we move everything else next weekend, once settled I will post pictures. For identification purposes.
