There is this carb http://www.denniskirk.com/jsp/product_catalog/Product.jsp?skuId=1655&store=Main&catId=111&productId=p1655&leafCatId=11101&mmyId=
then there is this mount type carb. The people at Dennis Kirk want to know what the dementions are on my stock carb. So I know that it will mount up and the throttle cable will work. http://www.denniskirk.com/jsp/product_catalog/Product.jsp?skuId=16465&store=Main&catId=111&productId=p16465&leafCatId=11101&mmyId=

The size of the round holes on the carburator that go into the intake mano and the air box boot. There is a smaller one and a bigger one. The smaller one has a notch at the top and that lines up with a notch on the intake mano. The bigger one fits into the intake boot that goes to the air cleaner. I need to know how many mm these are.

Here is a pic. You see the side on the left, there are ribs and this side goes into the intake manofold. The other side on the right goes into the air boot. I need someone that has a micrometer or something that measures in milimeeters to tell me what size they are for a stock 1985 Honda 250r ATC Kehine carb. The spigot side is the left and the Bell side is on the right. I need to know the OD's. Size in MM's

DANG It just shows how bad public schooling CAN be when people dont know what a tape is or even the Metric measuring system. I think somone needs to stick to american stuff if they dont know how to measure somthing in mm.

I will find one. Once I get the reeds on, I will get a good carb. Then its time for the air filter and plastics and tires.

I haven't seen your 250R that you're talking about here but if it's in any kind of decent condition at all the carb should be too as they must really be thrashed on to have problems. Buy a simple carb rebuild kit, a can of carb cleaner, grab an air hose and tear that thing apart, clean it and rebuild it and it should get you back on the road again without having to replace it. If you insist on replacing it find a new 38mm Keihin Air Stryker on ebay and you'll be set without having to screw around trying to measure things you're unsure about and you'll have a proven carb that will work well with your R. And while you're at it, pull the petcock from the fuel tank, clean the filter, replace the fuel line and add an in-line fuel filter.
And if you haven't already, BUY A MANUAL!!!

Lots of good advi. When it comes down to it, I will let you guys know how the carb turned out. I think I might just rebuild it.
