A ratteling sound on my 250r.

Just wondering, on my 85 Honda 250r, at higher parts of the power band it starts making a sound like forks and spoons in a cup shaking. What could this be? I am thinking its my wrist pin bearing because I put in a new Shindy brand $5 bearing. I have the right amount of piston 2 cylinder clearence. If I put on my old bearing and it goes away, do cheap wristpin bearings mess up and make that noise?

You kickstart lever isnt worn out and rattling around is it?

I've had my pipe make a sound like that a couple times before. Just put your foot up against while it's making the sound and it'll go away if that's all it is. Worth trying before taking it apart.

I would highly doubt that the wristpin would make a noise like that. Probably somthing exerior thats loose.

Well if it sounds like Forks and Spoons in a Cup....Then maybe this is your problem

i use them ,havent had a problem-
did you assemble and check with the pin in the piston for propper fit?
what about the bottom end? it has a berring like the top,and can sound like that as well
i understand your conserne about aftermarket stuff ,but they seem to be a good product
check everything before youtear it down
but if it is that bad don't run it !!!! it could be really costly good luck
and let us know ok ? so many ppl dont say what the problem was

LOL at Mywifeknowseverything. You know it sounds like it might me a something exterier ratteling. I will check it out. It could be my exhaust. When I find out for sure, I will let you guys know. Thanks alot.:D
