View Full Version : Which ATC70 flywheel..?

ok, i just picked up an 85' ATC70 last week, and am ready to get it going. Its missing the flywheel, and the stator is missing coils. Anyway, I did some searching on here, and it seems that there is quite a bit of confusion about the flywheels for the 70's. Will any other year flywheel work on this 85'? Also, what about the part for the pull starter to catch on?

Is there anywhere to find one new, or did they get discontinued? I didnt seem to find anything on drATV....?

I want to switch the ignition to a CDI type setup anyway, so will I need a flywheel that is actually part of the CDI kit?

Right...I saw that stuff. I also saw some CDI conversions on there, that looked like they came with a flywheel here. http://dratv.com/elup.html

But for the ATC, it says it will require machine work. I think I am going to email them to see what needs to be done to get it to work...

BTW, I got a number off the motor tonight....TBO3E-3041765

What does that tell anyone?

I've just got to get this figured out...I'm ready to ride this thing...

I dont know about your flywheel but you can decode the Engine number here
