ATC 200S no spark

my friend was given a atc that needs much work
He and I would like to get it running first.
What components do we check?
What are they?
Where are they located?

i would buy a clymers manual first. there is a wiring diagram for a 200x on the tech page. they are almost the same so it should help you. i would look at the switch and the stator. wher are you located?
